About this project

Our vision for the future of the airport proposed a new passenger terminal to create a new architectural landmark in Dubai, mirroring the evolution of flight through a winged roof canopy. Our concept was developed from Leonardo da Vinci’s earliest concept of human flight. The roof structure simulates the membrane of the wing, constructed in materials which permit a lightweight and efficient steel structure. The solution, when coupled with the mid-field satellite concourse and tunnel provides capacity for up to 12 mppa.
