The new Al Ansar hospital is a 250-bed Emergency Hospital for Medina, catering for the demands of the Hajj pilgrimage. Our proposal for the Al Ansar Hospital in Medina aims at creating a design solution that incorporates a flexible and functional response to current and new trends in healthcare, medicine and technology.

About the project

In creating a calming multi-sensory environment, the design fosters the benefits of ample natural daylight due to the separation of building elements and the increase in external wall (and hence windows), as well as aspects relating to thermal comfort, human scale, colour, vistas and views, healing gardens and the integration of the “healing arts”.

Additional insights

The quality of the clinical environment will assist in attracting and retaining the highest caliber of clinical staff. This is achieved by developing innovative, dynamic and vibrant solutions which look to the future and embrace the latest technology. Inpatient, Outpatient and Critical Care areas are designed to provide a patient with privacy and dignity.
