Stephen Featherstone

Director

Stephen Featherstone has extensive experience in the master planning, urban design and the architectural design of major healthcare and corporate projects. He has worked in over 35 countries across 4 continents, recently leading the design and planning submission for the new NHFP Acute Hospital in Jersey, expected to be completed in 2028. He maintains a hands-on approach to projects, ensuring that the planning and design strategies recognise the need for long-term flexibility to underpin sustainable, future-ready solutions.

He has written and spoken on the subjects of master planning, flexibility and the history of healthcare and hospital design. For the BBC, “The (master planning and urban design) work, led by Stephen Featherstone proved a critical turning point for the Broadcasting House project,” enabling the £1bn redevelopment strategy for the BBC’s London property portfolio. Stephen’s healthcare clients have also included Great Ormond Street Hospital, University Hospital Lewisham, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital as well for corporate and developer clients including British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Grosvenor Developments and Fairview New Homes.
