We were appointed in 2023 to create a Blueprint Masterplan in support of University Lewisham Hospital’s estates strategy, also supporting the NHS goal of achieving net carbon zero emissions by 2045.
About the project
Our masterplan, effectively a Development Control Plan, addresses future development opportunities through consolidation of clinical and support services, building maintenance and lifecycle replacement for the diverse building typologies on site, some of which are of heritage interest, while also prioritising wayfinding improvements and pedestrian safety in context with onsite traffic circulation.
Additional insights
The outcome of the Blueprint Masterplan is a 10 to 15-year estates strategy, endorsed by the senior leadership and approved by the Trust Executive, and we are now supporting the Trust with the early implementation stages, including engagement with the local planning authority and other stakeholders.
