Llewelyn Davies celebrates first Employee Ownership Day

Llewelyn Davies is today taking part in its first-ever Employee Ownership Day, joining scores of other businesses across the country in marking the national celebration.

The annual event, run by the Employee Ownership Association (EOA), champions the positive impacts of employee ownership on companies by raising awareness of the benefits for both individuals and the wider business community.

In December last year, Llewelyn Davies transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), which placed 100% of the shareholding into a Trust and put the practice’s future firmly in the hands of its employees.

Llewelyn Davies has more than six decades of experience in healthcare, aviation, and master-planning. In 2020, they were successfully appointed lead architects for the design of the new ‘Our Hospital’ project in Jersey, the Channel Islands.

Llewelyn Davies also recently scooped the International African and Arabia Best Public Service Architecture Award for New Terminal West, Aeroport d’Alger in Algiers.

Steve Featherstone, Director, said: “Since becoming an Employee Ownership Trust, our practice has continued to go from strength to strength with our people at the heart and centre of everything we do. Over the last few months, we have introduced further measures to enhance our working environment to ensure all employees have the support they need to thrive and be their best. The result is an even more resilient, inclusive business built around teamwork and collaboration, which will no doubt underpin our future success.”
