When a major gas and power company decided to quit its traditional office in the West End of London, it was looking for a better way to work - consolidate the workforce onto one floor, promote teamwork and accommodate short-term staff from other European offices.
Our service: staff interviews, time utilization study, work process analysis, workplace strategy & brief, assignment of workstyles, workscape selection, staff workshops, workplace design development, furniture design, space planning, change & communication task force, detail design, tender documentation, furniture procurement strategy, furniture procurement, build-out implementation.
The result is an office reception area that presents a strong branded design statement, with a truly ‘narrative office’ with brand values giving employees constant visual stimulation in their environment. As an expression of corporate democracy, open plan workstations are the same for everyone, while cellular accommodation is also provided with the main circulation route hugging the core to maximise on net lettable area.
Llewelyn Davies Yeang was also retained to provide design services for the Client’s Houston office project in 2007.
